To God Alone Be the Glory

My twenty-two year old daughter’s assignment was to give a 7 word description of who she is. A beautiful slide show began to play in my head. So much joy, love and memories. But when I tried to put to words the beautiful blessing she had been to me, my mind went directly to a most recent lesson that the Lord had given from Ephesians 1. It is written, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ…”

Our identity after conversion is who we are “in Christ”.  The seven words that came out on to her phone message were: Accepted, Beloved, Redeemed, Forgiven, Chosen, Sealed and Adopted. She, true to her poetic self, wrote the following:

“wonderfully created, broken but redeemed, beloved daughter”

As I have enjoyed her writing for many homeschooling years, I read it slowly, then read it again.

What a Wonderful, Gracious, Loving Father to help us both grow in knowledge and faith at the same time, though we are more than four thousand miles away from each other.

This is just one of the little miracles He has done in our lives as we have experienced His faithfulness.

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father.

Soli Deo Gloria in AK!
